Zeta Global, which launched in 2007 as Zeta Interactive, announced Thursday it has closed a Series F funding round of $140 million. Co-founded by former Apple CEO John Sculley, the Manhattan-based marketing analytics company plans to use the money to make acquisitions as it builds on its position as a major independent competitor of giants IBM, Salesforce, Oracle and Adobe.

Zeta Global, a marketing cloud software startup co-founded by legendary marketer John Sculley, has raised $140 million in a new round of private equity funding. The funding included $115 million in Series F equity and $25 million in debt from GPI Capital and GSO Capital Partners, the credit division of Blackstone. The equity portion valued the company at about $1.3 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter.
